We are in need of a Software QA Engineer who can help us develop a testing strategy and come up with a plan, who will work on our core application, as well as web-based products and API testing. We are looking for someone who has in-depth knowledge of the Software Test Life Cycle, and is motivated to work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be someone who doesn’t shy away from problems and will keep trying different things until the issue is resolved.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Support Project Leads by direct contribution towards assessing impediments and recommending improvements to achieve Project Delivery success
  • Write Test Cases, Execute Test Cases, Log Defects, Lead Defect Triage meetings and share recommendations with Project Team
  • Support current QA Team members in an individual contributor role
  • Understands the technical aspects of customer requirements and develops an acceptance test plan
  • Develops and maintains regression/load testing strategy of company product line
  • Reviews change log for each product release and develops a testing strategy
  • Reviews bugs and deficiencies from technical support and makes recommendations
  • Leads the automation framework development, while recommending and implementing new tools and technologies

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree from a reputable school in Computer Science/Software Engineering or related discipline
  • Minimum 3 years in software development or testing in companies where software is the main focus/product
  • Solid understanding of QA concepts and hands-on execution in an Agile environment
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Experience in testing complex software systems
  • Experience in relational database and ability to write simple database queries

We are looking for an analytical, results-driven Automation Engineer who will work with team members to help develop, enhance and maintain automation frameworks to enable automation of the suite of products offered by Volanté. This position also involves automation of test cases identified by QA and taking ownership of daily run of automated suites of tests. The successful candidate will thrive in a high-energy workplace, should have a passion for software automation, driving code quality for any automation frameworks/test scripts developed, taking ownership of new problems, and be able to think through and solve complex issues. The candidate should be a flexible, highly independent worker as well as an excellent team player, and able to work efficiently under tight deadlines.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Contribute effectively towards developing, enhancing and maintaining automation frameworks used at Volanté
  • Work with the QA team to identify test cases for automation and develop frameworks/test scripts to successfully automate them
  • Own the daily run of automated testing and ensure timely reporting of results
  • Deliver automation solutions by establishing realistic estimates for timelines while ensuring that projects remain on target to meet deadlines without compromising on the quality

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer programming, computer science, or a related field
  • Minimum 3+ years of Java development experience
  • Experience developing, enhancing and maintaining existing automation frameworks
  • Proficient with Automation tools/frameworks such as Selenium, TestNG, Sikuli(or any similar tool), Winium, Appium
  • Proficient with API automation tools such as REST Assured, Postman or similar
  • Strong database knowledge, especially MSSQL and MongoDB
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with a CI tool such as Bamboo or Jenkins

The Deployment Specialist is sort of like a “Field Service Technician.” You would travel to our new client sites across Canada and the U.S.A. to install our hardware, train staff and provide technical support to them during their install and live with Volanté. If you have a passion for technology, strong organizational skills, and experience troubleshooting in a technical support role, then we want to hear from you!

Please note: this position involves 90% travel across Canada and the USA.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Hardware/software installation of Restaurant Point-of-Sale (POS) software for new clients of Volante
  • Performing any necessary hardware repairs
  • Providing clients with technical support on site
  • Complete all necessary project documentation
  • Conducting Client training on site, as needed
  • Performing any software and hardware troubleshooting of the POS

Volanté is extremely pleased to announce a project due this summer and we’re currently seeking a Director level, Product Guru to lead the feat! This is a leadership position, reporting into the President, working alongside other senior management to ensure the delivery of a world-class product. You will manage your own Product team and be responsible for high-level strategy while owning the product roadmap. You will be evangelizing, leading, supporting, monitoring and managing all aspects of the product management lifecycle. The incumbent ensures adherence to deadlines and takes full responsibility for the successful delivery of the product development roadmap while ensuring it is fully aligned with the business strategy. They will define and keep track of product metrics, prioritizes feature requests and removes friction for freelancers and customers using the platform. Furthermore, the incumbent will challenge complacency in every aspect related to the product, its continuous improvement, and further development.

  • Devise a Product Strategy
  • Work with a cross-section of functional teams including engineering, architecture, sales and professional services to define product release requirements and the overall roadmap
  • Drive product innovation through contribution of new approaches and ideas

We’re looking for an experienced and dynamic individual for the role of Technical Project Manager to manage a highly complex SaaS-based Application development, deployment and customer migration project. The position entails working with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organization, and the successful candidate will require independent judgment to plan, prioritize, and organize a diverse workload.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Managing all aspects of Volante’s next-generation SaaS-based Enterprise Backoffice software development, implementation and customer migration project
  • Developing a full-scale project plan that includes, but is not limited to: taskforce assignments, timelines, milestones, resources, and communication plans
  • Managing the day-to-day activities of cross-functional project teams and ensures the adherence to the project plan
  • Working to control change, adjust the budget, timeline, and project scope to accommodate approved changes
  • Produce timely, detailed summaries and high-level reports
  • Provide timely and accurate project status updates providing transparencies for issues, risks, current project state
  • Identifying and mitigating project risk, keeping issues visible, to avoid impacting the project’s success
  • Confirming the alignment of customer expectations and project goals
  • Ensuring proper quality assurance and user acceptance of solutions prior to implementation
  • Developing and maintaining all strong working relationships with key stakeholders including, Product management, Engineering, Account managers, DevOps, Configuration Management and Customer Support teams
  • Motivating, guiding and leading project teams to achieve organizational goals and satisfy customers
  • Proactively identifying project and staff related issues

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • 5+ years of Project Management experience in an Agile environment or leading IT projects in an enterprise environment (preferably leading Cloud/SaaS/IT Infrastructure projects)
  • A completed Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or other related fields—or equivalent work experience
  • PMP or other Project Management certification
  • Demonstrated experience in appropriately managing risks, high-pressure projects and conflict resolution
  • Extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of Project Management methodologies and tools such as Jira & Confluence
  • Outstanding organizational, communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills conducive to team development
  • The ability to work well in cross-functional teams and with external stakeholders
  • Knowledge of project management best practices such as PMBOK
