The Hardware Product Manager is responsible to evangelize, lead, support, monitor and manage all aspects of Volante’s hardware product lifecycle.   • Develop hardware upgrade/replacement strategy with Sales & Product/Project Management Teams

  • Participate in product demonstrations and presentations to senior management
  • Become a champion of Volante’s product through acquiring thorough knowledge of the product and the industry
  • Draft and deliver proposals
  • Work with all departments of the organization where required, to address customer requirements
  • Be held accountable for personal and team sales goals, reporting on sales activities and KPI’s
  • Work with the company’s CRM to effectively manage and maintain all sales notes and customer interactions
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to execute lead generation campaigns
  • Provide feedback on ways to decrease the sales cycle, increase sales, and improve company brand and reputation
  • Be a positive representative of the company and its brand in the marketplace
  • Conduct all sales activities with the highest degree of professionalism and integrity

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Completed post-secondary education and higher
  • 3+ years relevant sales experience in the software industry
  • Previous experience as an Account Executive or in a similar capacity, managing client relationships
  • Strong customer service orientation and client facing experience
  • Excellent communications skills – both in verbal and written correspondence
  • Demonstrated success in a fast paced, quota driven environment
  • Ability to conduct oneself professionally when interacting with internal and external members of the organization

We’re looking for a Technical Writer, Team Lead to join our growing team! You will be responsible for managing a small team of Technical Writers and setting out procedures for standardization. You will work collaboratively with developers, the product team, and the marketing teams to make recommendations for our products to become easier to use. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Manage a group of technical writers
  • Write, edit, review and organize all technical documentation/li>
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of technical writing concepts and techniques; write clear, concise and simple documentation for a variety of audiences
  • Ensure technical verbiage is easy to understand for technical and non-technical readers
  • Produce high caliber documents that meet our standards and guidelines
  • Ensure all documentation follows a developed format and structure is followed
  • Set processes for adding and publishing documentation; ensure processes are adhered to
  • Structure and build out Volante’s knowledge base and documentation for the following:
    • End user
    • Technical Support
    • Developers
    • Resellers
    • Training

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Technical Writer, preferably in technology/software
  • University degree majoring in technical writing/translation, major in computer studies or equivalent experience
  • Thorough knowledge of technical writing concepts and techniques – writing clear, concise and simple sentences to explain difficult concepts
  • Self-starter and able to navigate through the application software to get the work done
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure created by deadlines
  • Strong knowledge of and experience working with Confluence
  • Excellent communication skills – both in verbal and written correspondence
  • Ability to establish reliable estimates
  • Experience working in the Food and Beverage/ Hospitality Industry is an asset
  • Ability to write fluent in French & English is a definite asset
